Jesus "Jay" Jose Rodriguez

Jesus Jose "Jay" Rodriguez, 79, of Edingburg, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in Pasadena, Texas. Jay was born on December 19, 1941 in Rio Grande City, Texas to Jorge Olivarez and Candida Perez Rodriguez.

Preceding Jay in death were his wife, Clara Rodriguez; son, Anthony Edward "Tony" Rodriguez; sister Yolanda Susana "Susie" Reyna and living spouse Cruz; brothers, Edgar Nodvel Rodriguez and living spouse Valentia, "Val" and Jaime Xavier Rodriguez.

Jay is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Monceaux and her husband Mark of Baytown; granddaughter, Ashley Gregory and her husband Tim of Baytown. Best friend and life companion, Valentina "Val" Rodriguez of Edinburg, Texas and her children Edgar Nodvel Rodriguez Jr., Irene Denise Rodriguez/Richard Gutierrez and Erick Matthew Rodriguez and family; brothers, Homer Cruz Rodriguez, Sr. and spouse Dora of Deer Park, Luis Roy Rodriguez and spouse Letty of Donna, Juan Jorge Rodriguez of Houston, Juan Carlos "Buddy" Rodriguez, Sr. and spouse Maria "Cookie" of Houston; sisters, Maria Del Carmen "Mary" Villanueva and spouse Sergio of McAllen, Nelda Cecilia Pereira and spouse Helaman of Mission, Idida Lamar "Ida" Ybarra of Mission, Gloria Ann Garcia and spouse Marco of Mission; and many nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00PM to 8:00PM; Rosary at 6:00PM Monday, August 23, 2021 at Forest . Prayer service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
