

John Homer Cline, 93, of Beaumont, passed away on January 7, 2016, in Beaumont. John was born on January 10, 1922, in East Liverpool, Ohio to Lemuel and Margaret Cline. John was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Roberta Olive Cline; brothers, Lawrence Cline, Lewis Cline; sisters, Rosemary Ibbs, Juanita Cline, Esther Smallwood. He was a member of Northwood Christian Church in Beaumont. John was a WWII veteran serving as a First Lieutenant in the US Army. He went to work at and retired from Koppers which changed names several times until becoming British Petroleum. He was a compassionate and devoted husband and father who lived out his faith by example. Many people say he was the father they wished they had. Survivors include his son, John A. Cline and his wife Penny of Salem, VA; daughters, Diana Schneider of Beaumont, TX, Jeriann King and her husband John of Allen, TX; sister, Margaret Comm of Chester, WV; grandchildren, Renee Carnahan, Leanne Cline, John Schneider, Amye Walters, Donnice Michel, Jaylin VonBerg, Alissa King, Gillian King and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 10, 2016, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
