Joseph Shelby Credeur, 78, of Lumberton, Texas, passed away Monday, October 10, 2011. He was born June 24, 1933 in Vinton, Louisiana to Clemile and Beulah Credeur. ‘Race Horse Joe’ was respected and known for training horses that produced track records. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed gardening, and painting.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. He is survived by his wife of 44 years EllaVee Credeur; sons, John Rowley and wife, Debra, Charles Rowley, Keith Rowley and wife, Liz, Jesse Rowley and wife, Georgina, Joseph Credeur, Jr., Little Joe Credeur; daughters, Sheila Babb and husband, Richard; June Lee, Faye Montgomery, Pat Sensat and husband, Billy, Juanita and husband, Richard, Cindy, Dana; and numerous brothers and sisters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a generous, selfless person that never met a stranger.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, October 11, 2011 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel.
