Joyce Marie Bowers, 78, of Beaumont, died Sunday, August 25 at Calder Woods Assisted Living Facility in Beaumont. A native of Port Arthur, she was a longtime resident in Beaumont, and was a retired Food Manager with Luby's Cafeteria. Joyce was a longtime member of Lamar Baptist Church in Beaumont. Joyce was a 1965 graduate of South Park High School, and also attended Lamar University, joyce enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles and word search books, and quilting.
A Celebration of Joyce's Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held from 9:30a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the funeral home.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Marriam Bowers, and her 2 brothers.
Joyce is survived by many friends Calder Woods Assisted Living Facility in Beaumont, and especially her close friends Norman and Brenda Hubbard, and Pastor Steve Ford and his family.
Joyce will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
