March 21, 1949 - July 28, 2024.
Keith Randall Chlouber, known by many as "Randy", passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family in his home in Lumberton, TX on July 28, 2024, at the age of 75. He was born on March 21, 1949, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Nelson Chlouber and Lorene Swanda.
Although he was taken from us too soon, Randy led a fulfilling life. He grew up in Carnegie, OK, and graduated from Carnegie High School in 1968. Afterward, he honorably served in the USAF during the Vietnam War. Professionally he retired from Baylor Hospital in Dallas from the Information Technology field. He later married the love of his life, Cheryl Landers Chlouber on September 18, 1971, where they shared 52 enduringly amazing years together. They had two children, first Jennifer Chlouber Boles of Lumberton, TX, and then Jeffrey Chlouber of Bedford, TX.
The family shared that he loved his family more than anything, had a huge sense of humor (loved to tease and roughhouse), was a very sweet and compassionate man, could be depended upon for anything, knew how to fix most anything, and was willing to help all. At the end of the day, he enjoyed kicking back with their dog, Maddi, who liked to be right up in his recliner with him. He was a best friend, partner in crime, and fishing buddy - the fishing stories I (Jennifer) could tell you. He also had a passion for adventure - loved to fish, travel, cruise in his refinished '56 Ford truck, spend time in his shop organizing it, as well as, doing some woodworking.
Preceded in death by his mother Lorene Swanda, father Nelson Chlouber, his sisters Sherry Caster and Diana Anglin, and his biological mom, Katharene Corbell.
Survived by his loving wife Cheryl Chlouber, his daughter Jennifer Boles, his son Jeffrey Chlouber, his son-in-law James, 7 grandchildren - Austin, Caitlynn, Logan, Quentin, Mica, Miette, Elliot, 1 great-grandchild - Emily, brother Steve Johns and wife Muriel, sisters Carla Worley and husband Jerry, Linda Sullins, Kathy Corbell, and Bobbie Thead, and also many cousins and other family members.
