Larry Wayne Stewart, age 69, of Anahuac, Texas passed away peacefully on July 28, 2020. He was born June 17, 1951 in Keo, Arkansas to Haves and Mary Stewart.
Larry Stewart served a total of 18 and a half years in the United States Army. He was stationed 7 of those years abroad in Germany. He married his wife Debbie on January 15, 1982. He and his wife were long time residents of Lawton, OK and members of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Larry loved John Wayne movies, war history and collecting memorabilia. He shared stories of when he was in the military and loved his time in Germany. He was a member of the India Shrine Temple of Lawton and supported the Lawton Fort Sill Oriental Band.
Larry is survived by his two sons, Larry E. Stewart and his wife Amanda of Orange, TX; Jimmy W. Stewart and his wife Leah of Humphry, AR.; daughter Amanda McFadden and her husband Andrew of Wooster, Ohio; sister Connie McCabe of Atkins, AR.; two brothers Jim Stewart and his wife Linda of Hattiesburg, MS and Richard Stewart and his wife Phillis of Little Rock AR.; his eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his wife Debbie Stewart; his parents; his brothers Ronnie, Andrew, and Robert Stewart; his sister Linda Camp.
Visitation will be August 2, 2020 from 5:00 pm – 8 :00 pm at Fletcher Funeral Home in Fletcher, OK. Due to the pandemic, a private service will be held August 3, 2020 at Ft. Sill National Cemetery.
They have come to say their last good-byes, And thank you for the love you’ve show, They will be sad, but happy, too,
Because, now, you have a better home.
