A veteran of The United States Army she was also a huge fan of Mickey Mouse!!!
Lela is survived by; sister Dot; nephew Gary Cox; niece Kayla Buckner and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Guess; four children who passed in their childhood years; brother Wyatt Battle; sister Jimmie Battle; sister Hazel Battle; sister Hellen Battle; sister Gladys Battle; sister Edith Battle and sister Juanita Battle.
A celebration of Lela's life will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Beumont, Texas. A burial will occur at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, TX 77703.
