

Lynn Brackin Sr. passed away on June 2, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born on June 24, 1941, in Saratoga, Texas, to Walter and Merle Edwards Brackin. Lynn made his home in Lumberton, Texas, where he was known as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
Lynn received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Lamar University. He dedicated more than 35 years of service to DuPont Sabine River Works in Orange, Texas, where he taught physics classes in addition to being a pipefitter after beginning his career in 1962. Through hard work and commitment, he built a career that provided for his family and earned the respect of those who worked alongside him.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than 62 years, Linda Brackin of Lumberton; sons, Del Brackin Jr. and his wife, Cathee, of Lumberton, Scott Brackin and wife Corrie of Lumberton, Matt Brackin and his wife, Angelica, of Miami Beach, Florida, and Walter Brackin and his wife, Michelle, of Lumberton; daughters, Kristina Vogel and her husband, Brian, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and Laura Roberts and her husband, Mike, of Kingwood; brother, Jim Brackin and his wife Lou of Orange; and sister, Anne Mathews and her husband Jimmy of Orange.
Lynn also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Jonathon Brackin and his wife, Amy, Victoria Ashton Blaze and her husband, Sam, Roxanne Vogel, Rosie Vogel, Daniel Brackin and his wife Leighton, Thomas Brackin, Elena Brackin, Azlyn Brackin, Andrew Brackin, Valentina Brackin, Santiago Brackin, Zach Brackin, Trista Brackin, and Morgan Momjian and her husband, Desmond, Brittney Sonnier and her husband Austin, Michala Roberts, Gabe Roberts, Megan Roberts, Jacob Brackin, and Sophia Brackin. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Jackson Brackin, Owen Brackin, Dean Sonnier, Monroe Sonnier and Noah Brackin.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, Texas 77703.
A Celebration of Life will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Lynn's legacy of dedication to his family, strong work ethic, and enduring love for those closest to him will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
