M. Darleene Champagne

M. Darleene Champagne, 80, of Beaumont died Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Methodist Hospital Willowbrook in Houston. A native of Tulsa, OK., she was a longtime resident of Beaumont, and was a retired clerk with CVS Pharmacy. Darleene was a proud graduate of the Class of 1965 South Park High School in Beaumont. Darleene enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, shopping, and especially spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

A Celebration of Darleene's life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.

A Gathering of Friends and family will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont.

Darleene was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Ethel Odle, son James Robert Valentine, her daughter Jeannie Lynn Valentine, and her brother David Lee Odle.

Darleene is survived by her loving husband of 45 years James Champagne of Beaumont, son David Bryan Watson and his wife Amanda of Cypress, TX., sister Clara Louise Andree and husband Rick of Pflugerville, aunt Geraldine Nelson and her husband Jerry of Beaumont, and the apples of her eye her grandbabies Henley Watson and Grady Watson.

Darleene will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
