Marcus (Mark) Scott White, 70, of Beaumont, Texas entered his eternal rest on Sunday, October 25th, 2026. Graveside services will be held Saturday October 31st, 2026, at 2:00pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Beaumont, Chaplain Rollie Burr will be officiating. Mark was born December 15th, 1955, in Beaumont, Texas to Robert (Bob) White and Lucille (Lou) Barnes. Mark was the youngest of four children. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Lou White, his oldest brother Wayne White of Longview, Texas and his brother-in-law Butch Troy of Port Neches, Texas. Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Bobbie Lou Troy of Port Neches, his brother, Lynn White of Beaumont and his sister-in-law, Mary White of Longview, Texas, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
In 2010 Mark opened and operated Mulligan Driving Range and sold the range in 2024 due to illness. Mark was known to friends and customers as “Whitey". He gave golf lessons and talked about golf. Mark’s hobbies were golf, golf, and golf. An interesting story took place when Mark was a young teen. Arnold Palmer was his hero, so Mark and a buddy decided to try contacting him. They succeeded in contacting him, and they all had a nice conversation on the phone. Later, Mark received an autographed poster and a small gift from Arnold.
Mark was kind, generous, and never held a grudge. He was never prejudiced and held no malice in his heart. You knew you were Mark’s friend if he called you “his buddy”. You also knew that Mark was frustrated if he shook his head and sighed deeply. He always greeted you with a smile, handshake, or a hug. Mark loved his family and we loved him. He will be greatly missed.
The family would like to give special thanks to Pam Garrett, Sam Smith, Brian White, and Jessica Nuckel.
