Our beloved mother, Margie Helen Covington age 65, passed away, Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She was a devoted companion, a very talented Registered Nurse and midwife for many years, and a wonderful and exceptional friend. She was born March, 1, 1947 to C. Walter Waits and Margie Helen Blackshear.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry Wayne Covington Sr. and one son, Jay Walter Covington.
She is survived by three sons, Jerry Wayne Covington Jr., Jesse Dale Covington, Jon Wyatt Covington of Nederland, one daughter Jenny Wren Berridge, six brothers, Waits, Danny, Robin, Tex, Mark, and David Blackshear, five sisters, Suzanne Hollandsworth, Mary Ann Sirmons, Ruth Ellen Warrick, Jan McCall, and Joy Blackshear, she is also survived by seven grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will begin on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. also at Forest Lawn. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Felps Cemetery in Thicket, Texas.
