Margie Cleo Sikes, 97, of Lumberton, died Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Silsbee Oaks Nursing Home in Silsbee. A native of Texarkana, AR., she has lived in Jefferson and Hardin Counties for the majority of her life and was a homemaker. Margie enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, and yard work. Margie was a longtime member of Freeway Baptist Church in Beaumont.
A gathering of friends and family will held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont.
A Celebration of Margie's Life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Margie was preceded in death by her 1st husband Billy Comer Sikes, and her second husband Sam LaRocca, and by numerous brothers.
Margie is survived by her sons Doug Sikes and his wife Sheila, Don Sikes and his wife Beverly all of Beaumont, and Dan Sikes and his wife Renee of Sulphur, LA., daughters Deborah Schull and her husband Jack, and Darlene Brown all of Tucson, AZ., her sisters Olga, Martha, and Dolores, grandchildren Laura, Jason, Diana, Jennifer, William IV., and Sara, and by her great grandchildren Alexander, Layla, Santana, Gianna, Mckenzie, Trinity, Liam, Grant, Sterling, Savannah, William V., Jason Jr., and Dalton.
Margie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
