Mary A Burch

Mary Ann Burch, 80, of Beaumont, passed away quietly in Flower Mound, Texas on May 17, 2012, just short of her 81st birthday. She joins her brother, Jack Phelps, and sister, Frances McNeil in eternity.

Mary was born in Beaumont, Texas on May 22, 1931, to the late John Guy Phelps and Belinda “Johnie” McFarlane Phelps. She was married to John S. Burch, and raised three children in Houston. Later in life she joined the work force and became a real estate broker, financial planner, and other volunteer work until retirement.

She is survived by her beloved family who will miss her very much. Her two sons, John W. Burch of Houston; Steven and Sharon Burch of Dripping Springs; daughter, Laurie and Clay King of Highland Village; five grandchildren, Jaclyn and Jonathan Burch, and Clayton, Callie and Caraline King. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012; from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m., at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with a burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Mary’s honor to the Alzhiemer’s Foundation of America or the American Cancer Society.
