Mary L Chumley, age 92, of Village Mills, Texas passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Jefferson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beaumont. Mary was a native of Houston, and was a longtime resident of Beaumont and Village Mills, and was a homemaker. Mary enjoyed sewing, casinos and slot machines, painting with her favorite colors pink and gold, garage saling, decorating, miniature things, and cleaning. Mary loved children, she loved her children and grandchildren and spending time with her family. She was a Mom above all, and her favorite saying was "Not A Bit Tired".
Mary is survived by her son Roy H. Chumley, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of The Colony, TX., her daughters Marsha Madden and her husband Mike of Frisco, TX., and Betty Pate and her husband Paul of Village Mills, her grandchildren, Michelle Madden Theis of Ladera Ranch, CA., Mondi Madden Kent of Pottsboro, TX., Heather Allardyce of Houston, Whitney Allardyce of Phoenix, AZ., her great grandchildren, Maddie Theis, Mitch Theis, Macy Matthews Linn, Hayden Paul Matthews, Kyler Kent, Hayden Kent, Barrett Kent and one great great grandchild Collins Cate Linn.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Roy H. Chumley, Sr.; her daughter Becky Allardyce; her father Walter Carlisle, mother Ruth Shropshire Carlisle, her grandson Justin Pate Matthews, her three brothers, and three sisters.
A a Gathering of family and friends for Mary will be held Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont. A Celebration of Mary's life graveside service will occur Monday, July 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
