Mary Helen Wharton, 88, a sixty-four year resident of Beaumont, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 in Beaumont. Mary Helen was born in Pueblo, Colorado on July 11, 1926 to her parents Clifford and Grace Ryan Kniseley, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are one sister Bette McIlveen. Mary Helen enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboy’s games , loved her dog Eddie, and took great pride in taking care of all her family’s needs. She was retired from The Texas Employment Commission where she worked as a computer operator. She faithfully attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Beaumont. Mary Helen is survived by her son, James “Jim” Wharton, of Beaumont, three daughters, Leslie Ann Lenhart of Mesquite, Texas, Carolyn Smith Salazar and husband Juan of Austin, Bonnie Easton and husband Mike of Garland, Texas, and one brother, Clifford Kniseley of Tampa, Florida. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
