Mordecia McKINLEY

She loved people, always doing and helping others. She was the best mother anyone could ever have. She loved traveling, playing dominoes, and taking care of her family. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Colmesneil, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will truly be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Louise Hudson, and her husband, Arthur McKinley of 63 years, whom she lovingly took care of for seventeen years after he had suffered a stroke.

She is survived by her two daughters, Charlotte Brimberry and husband Danny of Norman, Arkansas, and Janet Hoerner of Richmond, Texas, two half-brothers, Neil Hudson and wife Linda of Stafford, Texas and Joe Hudson of Orange, Texas, four grandchildren, Kim and Jason Brimberry, Joanne Blanchard and Kenneth Hoerner.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, March 17, 2012 beginning at 11:00 a.m. with services to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont, Texas. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
