Noe Cardenas, 80 of Rose City, passed away on Tuesday May 13, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at his residence. Noe was born on December 18, 1933 to Raymundo Cardenas,Sr. and Dora McKinze Cardenas who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was his son Paul Cardenas, three brothers, Samuel Cardenas, Andrew Cardenas, Raymundo Cardenas, Jr., and grandson Ernest Meyers. A native of Alice, Texas, Mr. Cardenas had lived here for over fifty-seven years and attended River of Life Assembly of God Church in Vidor. He retired after twenty plus years as a welder with Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of the Beaumont American Legion Post 33 and the VFW Post 1806 and served during the Korean Conflict in the United States Marine Corps holding rank as PFC. Mr. Cardenas loved people, made sure he provided for his own family for what they needed and in his spare time he worked on cars. He is survived by his loving wife; Juanita Cardenas of Rose City, sons: David Cardenas and wife Noemi of Beaumont, Samuel Cardenas of Rose City, daughters, Helen Ford and husband Kenneth of Lavon, Texas, Sallie Meyers of Beaumont, Alice Cardenas of Rose City, Belinda Cardenas of Beaumont, brother, Oscar Cardenas and wife Lupe of Victoria, sisters, Dora Ramon and husband Guadalupe, of San Antonio, Delia Manriquez and husband Joe of San Antonio, Hilda Rodriguez and husband Lego of Alice, Texas, Juanita Rodriguez and husband Rudy of San Antonio. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Bryan Guidry, David Loran Cardenas, Carlena Marsden, Asa Cardenas, Omar Cardenas, Lucas Cardenas, and Erick and Derick Butterfield, all of Beaumont and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday May 16, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Saturday May 17, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
