Christine was born on December 9, 1924 in Bienville, Louisiana to Lawerence Leucephas and Leurrar (Lula) Dorman. She had owned and operated a daycare center and was a member of the Dowlen Road Church of Christ. She loved to embroidery, make various little crafts, and spend time with her family and friends. She was known as “Maw Maw” to her family and friends.
Maw Maw was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Gloria King Milstead; grandson, Curtis Milstead and great grandson, Adrian Milstead.
She is survived by her 5 sons, Donald King and wife Charlotte of Dayton, TX, Sidney King and wife Jean Ann, David King all of Bradenton, FL, Alvin King of Austin, TX, Richard King and wife Wanda of Vidor, TX; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with a Graveside service following at 2:00 p.m. in the “Garden of Faith” in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
