To the Kozloski family I am sorry to hear of your loss. It has been a pleasure to hear from my cousin Don Kozlowski that he got to talk with Oliver. It is a pleasure being related to hear what a good man your father was. May God comfort your family during this difficult time.

It is with great sadness that I learn of Pudgy's death. He was an upperclassman of mine during my six years in junior and high school. He was an outstanding all-around athlete excelling in football, basketball, and baseball. His talents and skills on the field and court were enjoyed and appreciated by all and he inspired others to perform at a higher level.

I graduated from French High School in 1969, so Pudgy was 3 or 4 years ahead of me. Coach Loyd Kilpatrick told me Pudgy ran a 52 second quarter when he was in the 9th grade; that was an amazing time for a 9th grader. I never knew Pudgy, but loved watching him play basketball and baseball; he was the best all around athlete I had ever seen; he was maybe 6’2”; he was powerful and smooth on the court and on the field. He really was a bit of a legend for us younger basketball and baseball players. We heard that he once knocked a home run on top of French High School; I personally saw him hit one over the lights at French. I always wondered what Pudgy did after high school; he was truly a gifted athlete; and what a great name, Pudgy Kozloski. Sorry for your family’s loss; I wish I could have met him.

I remember one Saturday it was opening day for Pony League and several games were being played at the fairgrounds. The first time Pudgy came to bat he was batting right hand and hit a home run over left center. The next time he came to bat he decided to bat left hand and hit another home run over right field.

Was a year behind Pudgy at Edwards, Bowie and FHS. Always marveled at the things he could do in athletics whether it was basketball, baseball, shot put and discus in track, or punting the football 60 yards. The guy could do it all with seemly little effort. Always wished I had half the talent that guy was blessed with. Rest In Peace Pudgy. You were definitely one of a kind.

I can still see you in control of that basketball running down the court like "Rocky". You were always such a good athelete..voted one of most handsome...and yet so humble and friendly. Peace to you and your family ❤️🙄

Good bye old friend! I say old but we are forever young and still running around the ball fields in Beaumont. I'm so glad we reconnected a few years back and sad we won't have more time together. Praying for you and your family. Love you and miss you!

Pudgy,

Even though I have not seen you since FHS, I have thought of you often. We shared many great and a few disappointing moments on many long forgotten courts and fields and I am sad to learn of your passing. I look forward to one last opportunity to give you a "thumbs up" and a smile at your farewell service. I will be there to represent the good times and the good friends we shared. I know your spirit will live on in those that knew you and that your transition to the next level will be a peaceful journey.

Your forever teammate, Bobby

I remember watching you play basketball at French High. You were a classmate of my brother and sister and I went to school with your sister. You were loved by all and will truly be missed. Thinking of your family during this time. May the memory of you provide comfort to your love ones until you meet again.
