Mrs. Peggy Deebs

Peggy was born on January 11th, 1942, in Vidor, Texas to the late Jerry M Goodsell and Thelma Eva (McNeil) Goodsell.

Peggy found joy in the simple beauty of nature. She had a gentle heart for animals, especially birds. Over the years she nursed many injured animals back to health before releasing them, only to have them come back. She loved fishing, crabbing, and spending time at the family beach cabin at Rollover. She enjoyed watching baseball and was a big fan of the Houston Astros. Above all else, Peggy’s greatest love was her family. She treasured every moment spent with those she loved.

She is preceded in death by both parents.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 65 years, James Deebs Sr.; her son, James Deebs Jr. and wife, Stacy; her daughter, Brenda Swindle and husband Gary; her beloved grandchildren, Austin Swindle, Emily Wyers and Husband, Colby, Taylor Deebs, and Brooke Deebs; her cherished great-Grandchildren, Gracelyn Wyers, Hudson Wyers, and Coast Wyers; her sisters, Frances Gamble and Pat Sims; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

Peggy will be remembered for her kind heart, her love of family and many happy memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
