

“Pete” Lee B. Gaspard, 63, a lifelong resident of the Southeast Texas area, passed away on Friday March 27, 2015 in Beaumont. Pete was born on August 30, 1951 in Port Arthur, Texas to his parents Minos and Velma LeBlanc Gaspard who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was one sister Jada Lynette McAdams. Pete worked as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry for several different companies in the area. He attended First Pentecostal Church of Silsbee. During his spare time he did his favorite passion which was fishing, hunting, cooking, baking, camping, outdoor work, gardening, and always found time to be with his grandkids who he loved dearly. He also enjoyed watching the UFC Mixed Martial Arts contests, the National Geographic programs, the Discovery Channel, and ClassicTV Westerns. When he listened to music he played his favorite George Jones and actually sang right along.
Surviving Pete are his loving wife, Lynda K. Gaspard of Lumberton, son Cory Lee Gaspard of Beaumont, daughter Kimberly Gaspard Clark and husband Jeffrey of Turkey Creek, Louisiana, one sister, Brenda Satterlee and husband Jerry of Metairie, Louisiana, two step-daughters, Brandi Samford and husband Jarrod of Nederland, Juli Melo of Groves, three adopted brothers Michael Gaspard and life partner Louis, of Winnie, Billy Gaspard and wife Cheryl of Winnie, and Ricky Gaspard of Marietta, Georgia, two adopted sisters, Pat Gaspard Kasseroler and husband Danny, Christina Powell of Groves, six grandchildren, Gage Samford, Jace Samford, Shelby Hargraves, Dalton Clark, Emma Clark, and Abby Clark, numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday April 8, 2015 at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Methodist Transplant Center at Methodist Hospital at 6550 Fannin Street Houston, Texas, 77030, and The Texas Children’s Hospital 6621 Fannin Street Houston, Texas 77030 in “Pete” Lee B. Gaspard’s honor.
