

Raymond "Ray" Gideon Going, Sr. 80 of Beaumont passed away on Wednesday March 1, 2017 in Beaumont. He was born on September 9, 1936 in Batson, Texas. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Bo and Elvie Going, Ethel Booth, his Brothers, George and Phil, and the Love of his life, Lydia Ann Miller Going.
He was a warehouse manager in the plumbing sales industry. He worked for several plumbing companies but was blessed to spend his last years working for Plumbing Specialities. He loved his job that he was able to keep until he had to retire at the age of 80. He valued his friendships with his co-workers. Ray will be missed in the plumbers community, by friends, family and all who knew him. He enjoyed planning out all the details of whatever task was ahead of him and followed the plans from start to finish.
Survivors include two sons, Ray Going, Jr. of Beaumont, Richard Going and wife Amy of Kirbyville, two daughters, Diane Hendon of West Seneca, New York, Mary Alice Cox and husband Louis of Silsbee, brother, Charles Booth and wife Alba of Dennison, five grandchildren, Ricky Hendon and wife Nancy, Amy Comer and husband James, Joshua Jacks, Justin Jacks, Patrick Going, Kourtney Cox, four great grandchildren, Zachary Hendon, Ryan Hendon, Kaylee Jarvis, and Claire Comer. Also survived by his long time friend and companion Emma "Bootsie" Marshall with special interest for her children John Marshall and wife Kathy, Louis Pavia, Mary Jo White, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday March 3, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 4, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
