Richard Lynn Miller, age 60, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on June 9, 2026, due to heart failure. He was born on September 17, 1965, in Mobile, Alabama, to Wayne and Mary Sue Miller. He grew up in Gulfport, Mississippi, where he made lifelong friends and graduated from Gulfport High School.
His greatest love and joy was his mother until the birth of his two sons, Richard and Ashton. Eventually, he gained three more sons, Roger, Trey, and Scott. He stated many times that he didn't believe in the word "step" when it came to them.
Besides being an incredible, loving, and supportive father, he enjoyed drawing, fishing, playing darts, and telling wild stories and jokes. His employment ranged from truck driver, bouncer, car salesman, bounty hunter, and to even being an extra in a movie.
Later in life, he moved back to Texas to be with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. He will be remembered for his jokes and stories, his perfectly timed encouragement, his willingness to tell you exactly what he thought, and for pouring every ounce of his heart into the ones he loved, whether they were friends or family. If he cared about you, he wanted to see you smile, no matter the cost.
Ricky Lynn is preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Mary Sue Miller. He is survived by his children Richard and Tayler Miller of Beaumont, Ashton and Kristan Miller of Sulphur, Roger McCarty of Orange, Trey and Kayla McCarty of Austin, and Scott and Alexis McCarty of Belton. His grandchildren Ava, Declan, Liam, Lane, Lilith, McKinley, Mason, Emerie, Landon, Bryson, Jaxyn, Jazlyn, Braxton, Gannon, Aria, Damon, Ensley, Leighton, Tatum, Rowan, and Colter. His siblings Micheal and Kelly Miller, Deborah Miller, Katherine Purcell, and Pamela and Vernon Hill. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
P.S. Don't worry about me, I'm always ALRIGHT. - Love Ricky Lynn
