Ricky was longtime owner-operator of Granger Exterminating in the Golden Triangle. Ricky lived life with laughter and love at its center. He had an incredible sense of humor and was always ready with a quick joke or funny story...the kind that could brighten anyone’s day. Whether he was surrounded by friends, family, or complete strangers, Ricky had a gift for making people smile.
A true outdoorsman, Ricky enjoyed hunting and spending time in nature. He also had a passion for sports, not only as a fan but as a coach. He loved coaching softball and football, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with younger generations. Watching the Dallas Cowboys play was one of his favorite pastimes, though nothing brought him more joy than cheering on his grandbabies at their soccer games.
Ricky was preceded in death by his beloved parents; his daughter, Kristen Webb; and his brother, Keith DeRouen.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Lisa DeRouen; his son, Keith DeRouen and wife Yadi; daughters, Kaitlyn DeRouen, Lauren Strahan and husband David, and Melissa Bryant and husband Matt; brothers, Kenneth DeRouen and wife Sheryl, and Thomas Bates and wife Cindy; fifteen cherished grandchildren; three precious great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family members and dear friends.
Ricky will be remembered for his big heart, quick wit, and the way he could fill a room with laughter. His presence made life brighter, and his memory will continue to bring smiles to the faces of all who were blessed to know him.
