Mr. Robert "Bob" Charles Davis

Robert “Bob” Charles Davis, age 61, died May 20, 2013 in Beaumont, TX. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis was born on August 29, 1951 to Frank and Ruth Davis in San Antonio, TX at Lackland AFB. Bob grew up during the summers on his grandparent’s farm in rural Little River County, Ark. His love for horses, hunting and fishing began there. His faith was also founded there attending Richmond United Methodist Church every week during his stays.

He had a love for reading and music like no other. This is evident by his music collection that ranged from Asleep at the Wheel to ZZ Top, and book subjects from reining horses to reloading. He enjoyed playing golf, working in his shop and doing home projects with his best friend of the past 19 years, Rebecca Morris. Bob spent the majority of his adult life employed with what is now KBR. Most recently serving them as an office manager at the Shell Oil refinery in Deer Park, TX.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Davis and sister-in-law, Margie Davis.

Survivors include Rebecca Morris and father Frank Davis and his wife Frances. Children, Bree Davis, Dale Davis and his wife Kayla, Dillon Davis and his wife Ashley, Melissa Kelley and Chad Kelley. Brother, William “Bill” Davis and niece Margo Caraway. Eight grandchildren and countless friends and other relatives

He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him for his quick wit and positive attitude toward his life on this earth.
