Robert “Pot” Melvin Hamm, age 94, died Monday, July 8, 2013 in Beaumont, TX. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Thursday, July 11, 2013.
Mr. Hamm was born on May 25, 1919 in Beaumont, TX to the late Daniel and Clara McGee Hamm, Sr. He retired after 35 years from Mobil Oil as a pipefitter. He served in the United States Army during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Mildred Hamm and a son Clayton Melvin Hamm.
Survivors include his two sons, Robert E. Hamm and his wife Barbara and Marvin Ray Hamm and his wife Janis. As well as eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Humane Society of Southeast Texas or charity of choice.
