Roger was the youngest of 13 children and a proud graduate of Hull-Daisetta High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. Throughout his career, Roger worked for the Texas Department of Transportation and Texaco before eventually opening his own business specializing in postage presorting.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 54 years, Mary Tywater of Silsbee; his son, Michael Troy Tywater and wife Stacey of Silsbee; and his cherished grandchildren, Gage Colton Tywater and Ally Kirsten Tywater. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont, Texas, with Rev. Sonny Sturgeon officiating. Interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze.
