Ronald F. Sciarrilla Sr., age 72, of Crystal Beach, Texas passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021. Ronald was born May 8, 1949 to Doris and Billy Rhodes and Frank Sciarrilla. He worked at Mobil as an electrician and retired after 35 years. He also served on the Board of Directors at MobilOil Federal Credit Union for 20 years. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Club 3719 in Crystal Beach, Texas, where he served as a trustee. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, playing golf, and riding motorcycles. He also loved working with his hands. He refurbished his Mustang, as well as built his own home and beach cabin. His true passion was keeping his wife, Mary, happy. He was always giving of his time to family and friends, and his greatest pride were his kids and grandchildren.
Ronald is survived by his son Ronnie Sciarrilla Jr. and wife Jill of Vidor; son Joshua Frank Sciarrilla and wife Regan of Nome; and daughter Shannon Lee Sciarrilla and fiance Wayne Morris of Vidor; his sisters Brenda Rhodes Brown, Janice Rhodes, Kelly Rhodes Keeler; his grandchildren Chelsea McGee, Colby Sciarrilla, Austin Miller, Nyah Sciarrilla, Eli Sciarrilla, and Ivy Sciarrilla. He also leaves behind 5 great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ruth Sciarrilla; his father Frank Sciarilla; his mother Doris Hodges Sciarrilla and husband Billy Rhodes; his brother Corky Nixon; and his brother Randy Rhodes.
A Gathering of Family and Friends for Ronnie will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Ronnie's Life will occur Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with his burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Section K.
