Roy "Wayne" Reid
June 6, 1950 – July 13, 2021
Roy "Wayne" Reid, age 71, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Baptist Hospital. Wayne was born June 6, 1950 in Port Arthur, Texas at St. Mary Hospital to Charles and Lola Pearl Reid.
Wayne grew up in Port Arthur and attended Terrell Elementary. He attended Wabash Valley College as well as Chisner Business College. He worked as a mechanic for many different places, including the Houston Independent School District. He lived on the Bolivar Peninsula for some time, and his daughter was born in Galveston, before moving back to Port Arthur for more than 20 years. He loved to joke with his friends, and he was quick to help anyone who needed it. Wayne loved to be outdoors as often as possible, especially fishing, motorcycle riding, and any water related activity. He also loved to tinker with anything mechanical.
Wayne is survived by his brother Jim Reid and wife Sherry of Bridge City, Texas; daughter Jennifer Reid of Kountze, Texas; grandson Christopher Villalobos and wife Heather, granddaughter Kaitlin Villalobos and fiancé Gregg Flores, grandson Jason Villalobos and wife Ann, and grandson Jerry Villalobos, Jr.. Wayne also leaves behind four great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.
Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Janie (Johnson) Reid; mother Lola Pearl (Snell) Reid and father Charles Reid.
A Celebration of Wayne's Life will be held Monday, July 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4950 Pine, Beaumont, Texas 77703., in the Garden of Resurrection.
