Ruth Evelyn Robertson

Ruth Robertson, 97 of Beaumont died April 27, 2015 at Calder Woods. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 1, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ruby Nelson and Rev. Greg Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Ruth Evelyn Toney Robertson was born on September 26, 1917 to Rose and Jess Toney in Daisetta, TX. She lived her life in Beaumont, graduating from South Park High School. Ruth was married to C.H. “Cy” Robertson on July 14, 1940. She was a member of Washington Blvd. Christian Church until it closed in 1989 and is presently a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cy Robertson; parents, Rose and Jess Toney; brother, Lynn Toney; sister-in-law, Janice Toney.

Survived by her niece, Tami Lynn Toney of Pensacola, FL; nephew, Dale Brewer of Pensacola, FL and niece Carla McDonald of Stevensville, MT.

Ruth and Cy loved their four dogs. They also were very active in their church and making crafts together for their church bazaars.

The family would like to thank the Skilled Nursing staff of Calder Woods and Bucker Hospice for taking such good care of her.
