Shirley Ann Temple Littlefield Jones, 82, of Beaumont, passed away on Monday February 18, 2019 in Lewisville, Texas. Shirley was born in Beaumont, Texas on September 9, 1936 to her parents George W. Temple and Billie Rose Baker Temple who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one brother; George “Teddy” Temple, III; sister, Patricia Lawrence; Alpha and Maxine Hanna; niece, Autumn Miller; step-daughter, Barbara Guillot; as well as her grandparents and many uncles and aunts.

Shirley was a Baptist by faith and a homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her large and extended family. Shirley loved cake decorating and enjoyed making sure every detail was perfect for her clients and family.

She is survived by her husband; Milton Vance Jones, children; Chris Littlefield, Royce Littlefield and wife Marie, Cindy Coffman and husband Jeff, Danita Moulin and husband Greg, Robert Littlefield, Scott Jones and wife Karen, step-children; Sheryl Procter and husband Mike, Larry Jones and wife Jenny, Patsy Blair, Fred Jones and wife Barbara; and sisters; Bobbie Kageler and husband Michael and Johnnie Doty and husband Mike, two Aunts; Ruby Lee Wright and Joyce Staples. She is also survived by grandchildren; Sondra and Tim Murray, Jennifer and Brad Compton, Jeff and Kelli Coffman, Scott and Maimie Coffman, Karyn Coffman, Chauncey and Jennifer Littlefield, Cassidy Littlefield, Juan and Amy Roman, Rico Roman, Austin Littlefield, Sarah Littlefield, Brandon Littlefield, Kelsey and Blake Martin, Forrest and Leticia Moulin, Skyler Littlefield, Randi Littlefield, Michael Jones, April Williams, Kerri and Derik Warwick, Samantha Cady, Tabatha Liebert, Jason Hanson, Brandi Jones, Christopher Venissat, Wendy Rutherford, Kerri Rains, David Guillot, Timothy Guillot, Emily Green, Sammi Meyers, Brittney Jones, Jamie Hanson, Jeannie Moons, Savannah Castillo, as many great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. Also surviving are nieces and nephews; Josh Lawrence, Brent Teal, Justin Miller, Brittney Gibbs, Angie Cook, Ricky Littlefield, Karen Graham and many great nieces and nephews.

A visitation with Shirley's family will be held on Thursday February 21, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

A celebration of life funeral service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.

Biography

Shirley Ann Temple Littlefield Jones was known to many people as someone who loved her family and family gatherings. Shirley will be remembered as a very exceptional person never meeting a stranger.

      Shirley was born on September 9, 1936 at home in Beaumont, TX. She was the daughter of George and Billy Rose Temple. She grew up in Beaumont, later making her home in Baytown.

      Shirley was raised with four siblings, Patricia, Teddy, Bobbie and Johnnie. Shirley was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.

      As a young girl, Shirley had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. She was a member of 4-H, earning awards for her gardening and sewing skills.

      Shirley attended French High School making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers. She left high school to marry Billy Mack Littlefield and make her home in Baytown, TX, and begin her family.

      Shirley attended Lee College, in Baytown, TX, where her favorite courses were music and sewing. Her college career spanned over a 30 year period, while raising her children.

      On June 23, 1979, Shirley exchanged wedding vows with Milton Vance Jones at her parents home, officiated by her beloved Uncle Alpha of Beaumont, TX.

      Shirley worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Shirley birthed 6 children and was blessed with 5 more upon her marriage to Vance. Her children are Chris, Royce, Cindy, Danita, Robert, Scott, Barbara, Sheryl, Larry, Patsy and Fred.

      Fortunately, Shirley enjoyed what she did for a living. Her primary occupation was cake decorator, bus driver and mom.

      Shirley enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included Stone Mountain in Georgia and all of the Soutern states. She loved to go!

      Shirley was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. She loved and had many dog over the years. Her last beloved dog was Boo.

      Shirley passed away on February 18, 2019 at Lewisville, TX. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchild, two sisters, two aunts and many neices and nephews. Services were held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Shirley was laid to rest in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

      Simply stated, Shirley was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family as being a caring person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Shirley leaves behind many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Shirley Ann Temple Littlefield Jones.
