Tatum James Ritter Sr., 77, of Hemphill, Texas, and a lifelong resident of Nome, Texas, passed away on Monday September 17, 2018. Tatum was born in Beaumont, Texas, on July 19, 1941, to the late Edith and Hillary Ritter.
Tatum, known to his friends as “Fat Rat”, loved the outdoors; he spent a majority of his time hunting, fishing, and shrimping. Tatum enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family.
Tatum is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Karen Ritter.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Ritter; daughter Becky Ritter and son Tatum Ritter Jr. and step-children, Gregory L. Corrgian, Wendy L. Lindberg, Jay L. Corrigan, and Kari M. Motley; 6 grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
