Timothy Edward Knight, 65, of Lumberton, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. He was born on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 1959, in White Sands, New Mexico, to the late Norman Knight and Mary Lou (Ashworth) Knight.
Timothy was a man of many passions. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars; a true motorhead who loved souping up engines and going fast. In his younger years, he raced motorcycles and rode motocross, always chasing the thrill of the ride. He was also an avid gun collector. Known for his quick wit and great sense of humor, Timothy had a gift for making people laugh and keeping everyone on their toes. A jack of all trades, he was always ready to lend a helping hand and never met a challenge he wouldn’t or couldn't tackle.
On December 10, 1982, Timothy married the love of his life, Nannette (Patterson) Knight. Together they shared nearly 43 years of love, laughter, and joy, raising two sons and later welcoming grandchildren and great-grandchildren into their lives. Family was at the heart of everything Timothy did, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Timothy was a devoted and beloved member of Parkway Life Church in Lumberton. A true man of God, he found great purpose in serving the Lord and was proud to serve as an licensed Matthew’s Commission member. His faith was a guiding light throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Mary Lou Knight.
Timothy is survived by his loving wife, Nannette Knight; sons, JR Knight and Trent Knight and wife Amanda; grandchildren, Ashley Springs and husband Teddy, Courtney Knight, and Eleanor “Ellie” Knight; great-grandchildren, Bethanie Springs, Madeline Springs, Teddie Springs, and Elijah Munos; brothers, Dale Knight and wife Maria, and Sean Knight; along with a host of other family members and dear friends.
Timothy loved his family deeply, loved the Lord wholeheartedly, and will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation for Timothy will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Parkway Life Church, 1865 FM 3513, Lumberton, Texas 77657 with funeral service to follow at the church.
