Veronica Handy

Veronica was deeply devoted to her faith and was actively involved in many areas of ministry. She was always willing to pray for others and lived with an unwavering trust in God. Above all else, Veronica loved the Lord, and the light of Jesus shone through her life in ways that were evident to all who knew her.

She also enjoyed sports. Her favorite football teams were the Philadelphia Eagles, the University of Texas Longhorns, and the University of Colorado Buffaloes. Most of all, Veronica cherished time spent with her family, especially gathering together to celebrate and uplift one another.

She was preceded in death by both parents; her brother, Felton Handy; and her sister, Peggy Handy.

Veronica is survived by her loving daughters, Tracy Handy and Fiance' Ashton Sutton, Rosemary Guidry and her husband, Greg; her ten grandchildren; her brother, Patrick Handy and his wife, Mary; her sister, Rose Handy; her nephew, Cory Luckett; and a host of other family members and friends.

Veronica was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her faith guided her life, and her kindness and love left a lasting impression on all whose lives she touched. She was truly loved and will be deeply missed.

Cremation services will be held under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
