She was born on November 7, 1924 to Jose and Norberta Santa Rosa in Orange, TX. She married Felix E. Rogers and had been a Kountze resident for many years before moving to Groves. She was a member of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church of Lumberton and volunteered there when she was able.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.
Her survivors include two nieces, Lisa Guerrero and husband Nick of Groves, Norma Rios and husband Samuel of Houston; a nephew, Rene Rosa and wife April of Beaumont; several great nieces and nephews and several special friends whom she cared for very much.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2010 in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the “Garden of Eternity” of Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
