Wesley William Vaughan went to meet his heavenly father on April 20, 2021. He was born November 22, 1963 to Adney and Betty Jo Vaughan.

Wesley grew up in Beaumont, Texas, and as a child he attended First Baptist Church in downtown Beaumont. He graduated from Beaumont Charlton Pollard High School in 1982. After graduation, he worked for several years as a manager at Walgreens. He later attended Lamar Institute of Technology where he received an Associate’s Degree, and he began his career as a Process Operator at ExxonMobil Refinery. In 2020, he retired from ExxonMobil after many years of service.

In 1993 Wesley married Amberly, and they raised their three children in Bridge City. Wesley loved music and playing the guitar. His happiest days were at the beach and fishing at Rollover Pass. He was a sports fan who loved football, especially the Minnesota Vikings. He truly believed that God made dogs as “Man’s Best Friend,” and he had many over the course of his life.

Wesley is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Cathey Attwood. Wesley was a sweet and loving spirit who will be greatly missed by his wife Amberly Bishop Vaughan; son Brenton Vaughan of Bridge City; daughters Aimee Vaughan and Courtney Vaughan of Bridge City; sister Darlene O’Neill and husband Pat of Beaumont, TX; sister Barbara Dove and husband Mike of Lumberton, TX; nephew Todd Langston and wife Jill; and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Wes, you were my older brother when we were young. I have so may fond memories of the beach with you and maw maw and nana. From riding your mini bike and fishing at the cut and reading comic books that we bought at Pears. We had some fun times together. I wish we had stayed in better contact over the years. I love you man. Hug maw maw, my mom, nana and paw paw for me.
