He went to work for Northwest Natural Gas in 1942, and retired in 1989 as supervisor of accounting after 47 1/2 years.
He is survived by his 4 children, Larry, Randall, Julianne and Jeffrey; 4 grandsons and 3 granddaughters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1623 NW 19th Ave., Portland, Oregon. Private burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Portland.
