Lynn was born on January 29, 1938, in Boise, Idaho, to Boyd and Jenny Lytle. She graduated from Boise High School in 1956, where she met the love of her life, Tom Elliott. The two were married in June 1957 and soon after moved to Portland, Oregon, where they built a life together and raised their two children, Lori and Scott.
Once her children were school-aged, Lynn returned to the workforce and enjoyed a rewarding 22-year career at Tektronix, retiring in 1998.
Lynn had a generous spirit and a deep love for her family. She was known for her creativity, sharp wit, and the joy she found in life’s simple moments—especially time spent with her loved ones. She had a passion for arts and crafts and was an avid collector of Elfin ware. She was also active in her community, serving as president of the Jaycettes in Emmett, and was a proud member of both the Red Hat Society and the Rose City Model T Club.
She welcomed everyone with open arms and had a gift for making people feel at home. Her love and support were constants in the lives of those who knew her, and her legacy of kindness will live on through her family.
Lynn is survived by her husband of 67 years, Tom; her son, Scott, and daughter-in-law, Pamela; her grandchildren, Derek and Crystal (with her husband, Eric); as well as many extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori, in 2023, who remains deeply loved and missed.
A service to celebrate Lynn’s life will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Pegg, Paxson and Springer Funeral Chapel, Beaverton, Oregon, followed by a graveside service.
