Barbara "Paula" Renard

October 17, 1925March 27, 2018

Born in Portland, Oregon to Robert Frederick Renard and Barbara Paula Padden. Paula grew up in Portland, attending the Madeleine Grade School and Grant High School. Following high school graduation, Paula took a year off before attending University of Idaho. After graduating from U of I, Paula moved to San Francisco where she worked for Pacific Gas and Electric. Paula loved SF and made lifelong friends. She later moved back to Portland assuming a job with Meier & Frank until her retirement.

In retirement Paula always kept busy; taking care of her mother, spending time with her sisters, nieces and friends, working in her garden, and volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul. Paula was a member of St. Cecilia Parish for 42 years.

She is preceded in death by her sisters Ruth Weiby and Mary Lou Glasgow. Paula is survived by her nieces and nephew: Jacqueline Blau, Mary Louise Weiby, Barbara Rappleyea, Anne Vingelen, Janie Selby, Carole Carlson, and Daniel Glasgow.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Providence Hospice as well as Paula’s caregivers. Contributions may be made to Providence Hospice or St. Vincent de Paul.

An upcoming date will be set shortly for a Mass of Christian Burial and Recitation of the Rosary.
