Barry Cohen passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026 in Portland, Oregon. Born on January 11, 1954 to Burton Sheldon Cohen and Lois Fay Velick in Chicago, Illinois, Barry touched many lives, at home and abroad, with his kind heart and remarkable ability to listen. An avid music lover and dedicated project consultant, he will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor and easy-going nature.
Barry is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Rose Cohen, his two children, Sam and Melissa Cohen, his son-in-law, Alex Norum, his granddaughter, Maren Rose Norum, and numerous extended family members and friends, all of whom brought great joy to his life.
