Beverly Mae Crane

May 4, 1934 – August 24, 2026
Obituary of Beverly Mae Crane
IN THE CARE OF

Pegg, Paxson & Springer Funeral Chapel

Beverly Mae Crane entered her eternal home August 24, 2026, after a massive stroke. Bev was the daughter of Fred and Ellen Pedersen. She was born May 4, 1934, in Ryderwood, WA. The family lived there before moving to the "home" place in La Center, WA. Bev graduated from La Center High School and was valedictorian of her class. She graduated from Cascade College in Portland with a degree in education and taught at Yamhill High School. On March 16, 1957, she married Al Crane. They moved to Edinburgh, Scotland, where Al was stationed in the Air Force and their first daughter Karen was born.

Upon completing his duty, they moved to the Beaverton/Portland area where Al worked at Tektronix and Bev remained at home being a mother to their three children and doing volunteer work for the church. She was active in church and Bible Studies. Being an avid reader, she also joined book clubs. Her main joy was being an involved mother supporting her children and their activities. Once her children left home, she was still a support to them. While they were in college she rooted for Oregon Football, cheered on Oregon State girls’ basketball, and other activities. She was an avid sports fan and sports section of the Oregonian was the first part she read.

Bev thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren. She was an involved Oma. She spent as much time as she could with them, loving and showing an interest in everything they did.

Bev lived a full life, always learning and showing an interest in others. She was compassionate and caring to those she met. Bev was also a support and encouragement to her husband of 68 years, her 3 children, and her friends. She is survived by her husband, Al; her daughters Karen Jeffery (Rob), Kim Llorens (Hector); son Bob (Christa) and 4 grandchildren; sister Judy and brother Bob.
