

After a long courageous battle Brian closed his eyes and peacefully entered eternity with a smile on his face on October 11 at the age of 59. Lori lost her Sweety exactly 30 years to the date he first held her hand and gave her a kiss.
Born in Boston his family moved to a farm in Yamhill, Oregon where he graduated from McMinnville High School. He then joined the Air Force, served in Korea and New Mexico, then recieved a degree in Economics from the University of Oregon. He joined AAFES and went overseas to Germany where he met his soulmate; Lori Bradford. In 1991 he worked in Saudi Arabia setting up the PX for soldiers returning from Kuwait. Lori and Brian were married in 1992. They traveled extensively throughout Europe, eventually living in Germany for eight years and for over a year in Guam. Brian received an MBA from the University of Maryland while in Germany. In 2000 they moved back to Oregon where Brian worked as the Operations Manager for the Sheriff’s Department working on budgets and he eventually ended up cutting his own job. He then went to work for Cedar Sinai Park as an IT Administrator where he truly found his second family and home away from home.
Brian was a lover of animals, in particular dogs, and dog sat for many of his friends (the dogs never wanted to leave him). He volunteered time to the Oregon Humane Society. His hobbies included glass fusing and stain glass art, playing the guitar, but his favorite hobby was riding his motorcycle.
Brian is pre-deceased by his father, Clifton Hadfield and mother and step father, Mary and Wayne Clay. He was survived by his devoted, loving wife; Lori Bradford, sister; Susan Martin, brothers; Clif Hadfield (Shelley), Chris Hadfield (Penny), Tim Hadfield, Mark Clay (Laurie), Dawn Clay, and many nieces and nephews.
His Celebration of Life will be held at Sunset Presbyterian Church, 14986 NW Cornell Rd, Portland on October 29 at 2:00 p.m. Reception will follow the celebration of life at Bethany Public House form 3-5 PM (4840 NW Bethany Blvd. Portland, OR 97229).
