Coach, like David said, I haven’t seen you since your retirement party, but I’ve thought of you often over the years. Whether you knew it or not ( I’m pretty sure you did), you were very much a father figure to me. I believe God placed you in my life at the exact time I needed you. You truly taught me right and wrong and gave me the courage to battle through whatever life threw my way. Donna, I believe you also were placed in my path for the same reason, to teach me life lessons that would be fundamental to the character of the man I’ve grown up to be. You both were and continue to be a true inspiration of what love is. This last weekend, as my wife and I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary, I reflected on the years and thought of the people who have influenced my life the most, and Donna, you and Coach were right up at the top. You both hold a special place in my heart. I love you more than you know.

The Coaches Coach!
Chuck inspired so many of use to continue in gymnastic as coaches and I'm sure he missed it when he retired. I hadn't seen or talked to Coach since we went out to pizza to mark his retirement.
I have so many amazing memories that I still share often in that so many of them contain great life lessons. From "here's a dime call someone who cares" to seeing the response to an unruly student who felt it was more important to spit chew on the mat than to dress down for PE.
A smile that could light the world and a glare that could cause you to fall directly into line... I have drawn on my experiences with him all my life! May God give special blessings to all those he left behind! Thank you Donna for so graciously sharing Chuck with us and being apart of what makes life so special!

I have so many memories of my time with Chuck and his influence on my life was so profound. His joy for others and his passion for coaching and teaching is largely why I followed in his footsteps. If I am able to have even a fraction of his success in loving and inspiring young people, I will consider my life a life well lived. I am so sorry that he is gone but, know that he is no longer in discomfort. My deepest sympathies to Donna and Lisa and all the rest that he held so dearly. Blessings.

I have many amazing memories of Coach Osborne. From letting me skip class to work out in the Gymnastics gym to giving him gray hairs from my many failed dismount attempts on the high bar. Prayers and fond memories are what we have to remember our loved ones who have departed. I know the love of family and friends will comfort you during these difficult days, my most heartfelt condolences.

Thinking of you, Donna, Lisa and family on your loss. Our son , Bill, was so fortunate to have known Chuck as ‘Coach’ when he was on the David Douglas gymnastics team. I remember seeing you, Lisa, many times with your Dad at matches. Am so glad you and Julie have been good friends for so long. Keeping warm thoughts for both of you in my heart at this difficult time, Pat Klum
