Dorothy M Milo

Dorothy Mae (Duyck) Milo was born January 3, 1929 in Forest Grove, OR to Peter and Sophia (Schneider) Duyck and passed away in Beaverton, OR on December 22, 2013 at the age of 84. Dorothy moved to Portland as a girl, and was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. She married August Milo in 1951 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in North Portland. Mrs. Milo worked as a secretary in Portland schools, among them Marshall, Benson, and Lincoln (from where she retired). She was fond of the mountains, particularly Mt. Hood, which she and August tried to visit weekly.

Dorothy was preceded in death by two brothers, and is survived by

her husband of 62 years, August Milo of Beaverton,

son Nicholas Milo and wife Cheryl of Portland;

and daughter Melinda Teach and husband Dennis of Tigard;

brother James Duyck and wife Jean of Gresham;

and by five grandchildren, Sophia, Alicia, Nicole, Cassondra, and Nastassja.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 12250 SW 5th St, Beaverton, OR 97005 on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM, with Rosary preceding at 10:30 AM. Donations in lieu of flowers would be welcome to either St. Cecilia or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
