Helen Marie Seymour

Helen Marie (Berggren) Seymour, born November 18, 1927, passed away quietly at home surrounded by her loving family. She spent her early years in Helena Montana later moving to Spokane WA where she attended Lewis and Clark High School and then the Univ. of Idaho. She met her beloved husband John Seymour and they were married in 1951. Following a brief period teaching in Spokane and Newport WA, they moved to NE Portland in 1952 settling in the Rose City Park neighborhood. Her tenure was teaching at Meek elementary school until she retired in 1983.

The family enjoyed spending their summers together at their lake cabin near Spokane. Following retirement John and Helen enjoyed traveling to Europe and meeting her relatives in Sweden.

Helen cherished her family and friends and was a very loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband John, children Ken and Keith (wife Linda) and three grandchildren Dan, John and Jeff. She brought happiness to all that knew her and she will be greatly missed.
