On August 8th, 2026, Janice Ann Bosley officially decided that her physical form was simply no longer up to the task of keeping up with her, so she opted for an early retirement. Janice was just a couple of months shy of celebrating the 38th anniversary of her 30th birthday, a milestone she surely would have marked with her signature flair.
Janice treated life like a grand, ongoing party, and if the government ever required citizens to report their official superpowers, her entry would have been a masterclass in festive endurance. While economists are currently bracing for a major slump in the global sparkling wine market, those who knew her understand that she wouldn't want us to stop pouring Bubbly Rose.
Janice was a Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother and Wife. She was fierce Momma Bear when it came to her children and grandchildren. She stayed present in their lives, rooting for their happiness and doing what she could to create more happiness and encourage their continual success and growth. Janice was always arranging family functions to bring those she loved together.
While Janice may have broken a few eggs along her human journey, she possessed a unique, diligent talent for cleaning up the mess and putting the pieces back together. She leaves behind a circle of people who feel honored to have witnessed her life and her exit, which, in true Janice fashion, unfolded with more style than any scriptwriter could provide. Janice spent the last month of her life spending time with friends and family. From what she deemed her last family camping trip to Anderson Island, to birthday parties with friends, quiet conversations with her mother, lunch and dinner with her local children, evenings with friends, and phone calls with those further away she gracefully walked towards the door to her next stop in the universe. It would have been difficult to have planned it any better than the universe provided.
We forego the usual “Survived By” list because if she loved you, you know who you are because she was never shy about sharing it.
In true and glorious Janice Bosley fashion her will expressly forbid a funeral, and states there must be a party. In her words “alcohol will be served!
The family will be having a private celebration of life at Depoe Bay in continuance of family tradition. Invitations have been sent. There will be a larger party thrown in Janice’s honor soon and you will all be given details.
Please help us keep Janice in this world by sharing the stories of how she touched your lives.
