Kent was born in Wessington Springs,South Dakota, graduated from Yakima High school, served in the Navy 1952-1955, then worked for PP&L his entire career.
He is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Mary and siblings Marvin, Don and Sherry. He is survived by his wife Marcella of 64 years, his three children, five grandsons, two great grandchildren and other loved ones.
He was a member of St. Birgittas church and loved the Tridentine Mass. For many years he was a member of St. Vincent de Paul St. Cecilias council.
Kent loved gardening, reading, telling jokes and had a great passion for writing poetry. He was a great wordsmith and self published five books. He liked to challenge himself by finding new and difficult words and making them a part of his poems.His love for his family and the kindness he showed to others are some of the things he will be most remembered for.
