Lucille passed away peacefully Aug 10 with family by her side. Her parents were Henry and Marie Hinkel and she grew up in the Alberta neighborhood attending Jefferson High School. She met her loving husband, Culmer (John) Adams, at a dance and were married 70 years at the time of his death in 2012. Early in their marriage they lost everything they owned in the Vanport flood but moved on to raise a family in Beaverton. Lucille was a member of the Portland Women's Club plus worked for the Housing Authority and Beaverton school district.
She was preceded in death by her husband and siblings Ruby, Bernice and Henry. She is survived by her children Susan (Jason), Cathleen (Dan) and Jeffrey (Delina) and grandchildren Haley Grubbs (Mark) and Trever Adams.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday Aug 25 at Murray Hills Christian Church, 15050 SW Weir Rd, Beaverton.
