Lucille Dement

Lucille was a graduate of Jefferson High School in Portland. She married Merle April 30, 1949, in Portland and have been married for 62 years.

She earned her Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from Mt. Hood Community College. After college she went to work for Kaiser Permanente as a physical therapy assistant where she worked for 14 years.

Lucille was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Beta Sigma Phi, and also in various activities and memberships at Claremont. She loved to travel , singing and especially being with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Merle; son, Michael; daughters, Sherri Saunders, Jan Dunn, Carolyn Hawk; 8 grandsons; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Steve Hergert.

Memorial service will be October 18, 2011 at 11:00 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 14175 NW Cornell Rd., Portland, OR.
