Margaret Orlys O'Leary died on Feb. 7, 2013, at the age of 101. She was born in Independence, Oregon on March 25, 1911 and lived in Eugene until she moved to Portland after graduating from high school.
She met her husband O'Donovan Michael O'Leary at a University of Portland dance and they were married May 25, 1935. They were married for 60 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband and granddaughter Katie O'Leary. She worked for many years at Providence Hospital as a admitting clerk.
Volunteered at All Saints Catholic School Altar Society, Albertina Kerr Thrift Shop, St. Vincent de Paul and Providence Child Center.
She is survived by her son Dennis (Gerry) O'Leary; daughter, Mary K. O'Leary; grandchildren; Dan (Heather) O'Leary; Mike (Megan) O'Leary and Molly (Pat) Schreck and 7 great-grandchildren.
Rosary and funeral Mass will be held Monday February 11, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at Maryville Nursing Home Chapel in Beaverton, Oregon. Private family burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Portland.
